MMMMM.....new foods!!

Brayden started eating new foods this week!! We started him off with carrots and he loved them....he also made a huge mess!!! We were finally able to get our new boat out this weekend, it is a little to hard to go out during the week when we get home from work. Saturday was a beautiful day and we cruised the boat over to the Norfolk Zoo which is about an hour away via the boat. Brayden loved the boat and even stayed awake for most of the trip. I was able to take an old car seat and rig it to the bench seat in the boat so that he was securely fastened in and Susan didn't have to hold him the entire time. I think he like this better then being in the car because he was facing us and able to see where we were going. You'll see that he is really into blowing bubbles all the time, he thinks it the coolest thing and I especially love it when you are feeding him and he blows the food back at you! Everything is going well though, Susan is getting settle into her new role with Wachovia, and we are close to getting everything set up to open our salon later this year. We just signed our papers and hope to get our first location open by this summer...everyone keep your fingers crossed for us!!! Brayden has been getting adjusted to his nanny Jen quite well, she has been taking him to the neighborhood park on warm days and letting him swing. Sue and I took Brayden to the park this weekend and shot a home movie, I will post it on the blog as soon as I can figure out how to transfer the thing from disk to computer......I am not a computer savvy person.....keep your phone turned on Dad! Well, I hope you all enjoy the new pictures and I will post videos when I get a chance!

I know its been a while!!!

Hello everyone! I know it has been a while since I sent out new pictures but everything has been so hectic around here. Susan started back to work a few weeks ago and Brayden has been adjusting to his Nanny well. A few days this week the weather was near 75 degrees and Brayden was able to go on a few stroller rides around the neighborhood. Brayden is still growing like a weed and is probably weighing close to 16 or 17 pounds. He is a bottomless pit and loves to eat all the time. I am not sure where all that milk goes but it is constant and when he wants to eat he lets you know. Right now he is probably eating about 20 ounces a day, maybe even a little more!! What a little piggy he is!! Brayden started eating cereal last week and took to it very well, he didn't push the spoon out of his mouth but ate from it like he had been using a spoon the entire 4 months!! He is walking too.......no just kidding......wanted to see who was paying attention. We have started to work with Brayden on rolling over, he still cant do it completely by himself but is getting the hang of it. He has an easier time of going from his stomach to his back the vice-versa. He is funny to watch though because he wants to rollover and gets very frustrated because he cant quite figure it out! Brayden has started sitting in his bumbo seat and is pulling himself up without letting his head go out of control when you pick him up, it is so cool to watch him learn new things every week. If he lays on his stomach his does a nice job at propping himself up on his arms and holds his little head up. We have found out that if soccer, basketball, or Sports Center is on the TV he cant peel his eyes away from it no matter what you do. He LOVES basketball......he is gonna fit in real well around here, I now have an excuse for watching sports, just blame it on the baby!! You will see in some pictures how fascinated he is with basketball. Anyway....as for Sue and myself, we are finalizing the paperwork this week for our franchise endeavor and hope to have the first one open by this June. We purchased the Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake markets and have to open 3 stores over the next 3 years. I think we can get 7 stores in our territory so we'll see how it goes. Our boat finally arrived also, it took the electrician forever to get the lift hooked up but he finally did. Kendal and myself brought the boat across the 20 miles of Bay and River to get the boat home and we ended up having to leave the boat at the end of our street because we missed the tide and couldn't come up the canal. Typical boater luck! Brayden had his first boat ride last bight though and slept through the whole thing. Ok......I think I have filled everyone in on whats going on...enjoy the pictures!!!

Wont you be my Valentine??

Hello everyone! Its been a few weeks since I sent out an update on Brayden so I figured I need to get something out. Brayden is growing like a weed, he nows weighs about 14.5 pounds, maybe even 15 pounds!!! He is packing the weight on day by day. Brayden is now a little bigger then his cousin Lila Ann who is 5 months old and it is pretty funny to see them side by side. We took Brayden to get his V-Day pictures done last week and it was an adventure. I think we had a total of 3 pictures with him smiling, even though he cheeses it up all the time! He was a little camera shy during his first official photo shoot, but who wouldn't be....he was only in his diaper and maybe was trying to play modest. I am sure you will all enjoy the end result of the pictures though. We have had a lot of things going on lately. Sue starts back to work tomorrow and Jen (nanny) will have her first full day with Brayden. I am sure they will all do just fine. We have secret agents who will pop in at random times during the day to make sure everything is going well. Arynne(Jeremy's sister) has been in the hospital with a misterious intestinal disorder which the doctors cant nail down yet, please say a few prayers for her. She just had a new baby a month ago and her husband is home taking care of all 3 boys until she gets well, so say a prayer for him as well. As for me, my new job is going well, I am getting settled in and learning the ropes of transitiong from a $100 billion company to a $1 billion dollar company, things run a bit slower but it is a great bank. For anyone who didn't know, Sue and I were awarded the franchise rights for a men's salon in Virginia. We are in the process of working out the final details of everything right now but we hope to have our first location up and running by the begining of Summer.....no wise cracks about me being bald and running a mens salon either!! Lets see.......if we dont already have enough things going on we decided to set our fish tank up again, and this time we made it salt water, it is one of the coolest tanks I have ever played around with. We went this weekend and busted the budget with new lights, sand, new stand, and real coral. We tried to get fish today but our water wasn't ready. I will send new pictures out when we get some fish. Also, we have our boat coming this Saturday.....I have been waiting about a month for it and it will finally be in this week...weather permiting.....right now they are calling for 6 foot seas on Saturday and I dont know if I want to run the boat from the marina back to our house since it is about 20 miles of bay and river.....everyone keep there eyes peeled for my emergency flares!!! The boat should be OK though, it is plenty big enough for those waves, not sure I would survive though. i am used to surfing big waves but not riding in a boat on them. Anyway.....hope everyone is doing well and enjoy the latest pictures!!

Happy, Healthy, Growing Boy!

Hello everyone! Brayden is growing like a weed these days and is weighing in at 12pounds 6 ounces. He has also grown to 23 inches. Sue and I were pretty much right on with his weight but the doctor made it official this past week when he went for his 9 week check-up......he actually is 10 weeks old today. Poor little fella is still looking like his dad though, maybe its just the bald head, but he does have Sues demeanor....oh yeah, he also like to take up most of the bed just like his momma :). Brayden did get 5 shots last week, Sue said it broke her heart to see his little eyes light up when that needle went in. I was telling a guy at work about the shots and Sues reaction and he started tearing up remembering when he took his 2 daughters for their first shots....must be a pretty hard thing to watch as a parent. Sue and Brayden were in MD a few weeks ago and got to see Great Gram, Keith, Phil, Linda, Debbie, Fallon, Kyle, Camille, and Heather......from what I understand it was a pretty event full trip since it snowed the whole way there and turned a 4 hour trip into a 6 hour journey....I want to thank JoAnn(Sues Mom) for riding in my place! We hired a Nanny for Brayden today for when Sue goes back to work on February 19th, her name is Jen and she has been a nanny in the past for a family in Minnesota before moving here with her husband who is in the Navy. She is a very nice girl and we are sure that she is going to take great care of the little guy and be able to have the one-on-one interaction during the day. The dogs will also enjoy because now they will have another person they cant train into letting them outside 100 times a day. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you all enjoy the new pictures!!!

MY BIG FAT BELLY!!!!!

Hello everyone!!!! Brayden is growing fast and now weighs about 12 or 13 pounds. The weight is unofficial since he doesn't go for his 2 month check-up until next week but Sue and I took turns weighing him yesterday at the hospital. When we weighed ourselves with him we were 13 pounds heavier!!!! What a little chunky monkey he is becoming......doesn't surprise me though because he eats all the time! We were at the hospital yesterday because Arynne finally had her baby, one week late.....he is a BIG baby weighing in at 9 pounds 5 ounces!!! Brayden is doing great though, he is starting to blow bubbles so he is drooling on everything, he is also starting to laugh out loud at times! I think he is going to be an earlier walker because he had very strong legs....I walked at 6 months and never crawled so if he acts like me we will be chasing him around the house in a few months!! Sue is taking Brayden to Maryland this weekend so this will be his first road trip and hotel stay, her mom is going along as well!! Anyway...hope you all enjoy the pictures!
